Backtesting

Each backtesting session represents one TradingView Bar Replay run. Sessions own their trades. They do not change live balances, Dashboard metrics, Reports, or the main Log.

Create a session

Open Backtesting and select New session. Enter a name, starting balance, base currency, and fixed risk per trade if the run used one.

Set fixed risk when every trade used the same money risk. TradingView exports do not contain stop-loss history, so this value makes imported R measured. Leave it blank when risk varied.

Import TradingView replay trades

Finish the replay in TradingView, export its list of trades as CSV, then select Import on the session. Review the detected symbol, dates, and trade count before confirming.

Importing updates the session's replay data. It does not add rows to live accounts.

Review a session

Open a session to use the same trade table and detail tools available in the live Log. Results include net P&L, win rate, profit factor, average R, expectancy, and maximum drawdown.

If only some trades have measured risk, average R shows its sample size.

List and grid views

List view compares sessions in a compact table. Grid view shows a wider metric summary and direct actions. Your view preference follows your workspace.

Delete a session

Press and hold Delete until the progress fill completes. This removes the session and every trade stored inside it.
