Trade log and risk
The Log is the complete list of live-account trades. Backtesting trades stay inside their session.
Add a trade
Open Log and select Add Trade, or press n. Add the account, instrument, direction, entry time, entry price, size, and status.
Useful optional fields include stop loss, take profit, close price, commission, swap, setup, session, and notes. Record the original stop before moving it if you want measured R.
Trade statuses
- Draft holds an incomplete idea or execution.
- Open has no final result yet.
- Closed contributes to performance after its close date.
- Canceled remains recorded but is not a completed trade.
- Missed records a setup you did not take.
The Log has All, To Review, and Missed tabs. Missed trades use their recorded entry, stop, and eventual exit to estimate opportunity left on the table. They have no realized P&L.
Find and arrange trades
Press / to focus search. Select Columns to show, hide, or reorder fields. Drag column headers to change their order.
Press j and k, or the arrow keys, to move through rows. Press Enter to open the selected trade.
Review a trade
Open a row to see Execution, Prices & Risk, P&L, Mistakes, and review notes. Select Edit to correct stored values. You can add screenshots or TradingView snapshot links to the review.
Mark the trade reviewed when the record and reflection are complete. Review uses this flag to track period progress.
R-multiple
Realized R = net trade result / initial trade risk
R compares results across accounts and position sizes. A +2R trade earned twice its initial risk. A -1R trade lost one initial risk unit.
Realized R uses net P&L. A full stop plus commission can therefore finish below -1R. Pips remain based on market price movement because fees do not change entry or exit prices.
Forexizer prefers recorded risk or a real original stop. When neither exists, it may estimate risk from the account default. The interface labels that R as estimated.
Moving a stop after entry must not rewrite initial risk. If an import contains only the latest trailed stop, Forexizer leaves measured R unavailable.
Breakeven trades
Open Settings to set the breakeven threshold as a percentage of account balance. Results inside that threshold count as breakeven. Win rate excludes breakeven trades.
P&L fields
Gross P&L is the market result before commission and swap. Net P&L is the final account result after those costs:
Net P&L = Gross P&L + Commission + Swap
Forexizer stores costs with their accounting sign. For example, $100 + -$7 + -$2 produces $91 net P&L. A positive swap credit increases net P&L.
Price-based calculations depend on instrument specifications and may use static quote-currency conversion rates. Check imported broker totals before relying on converted money values.
