Accounts & imports
Import from FXCM
This guide covers FXCM accounts on MetaTrader 4. Forexizer reads the MT4 detailed HTML statement. It does not cover Trading Station exports. FXCM does not currently offer MT5, according to its platform support page.
Export your trading history
- Check that your FXCM account uses MT4, then sign in to the MetaTrader 4 desktop app using that account's login and server.
- Open Terminal → Account History.
- Right-click the history and select the date range you want to import.
- Right-click again and select Save as Detailed Report.
- Save the HTML file unchanged. Do not convert it to a spreadsheet or rename its extension.
Keep a separate export for each trading account. The report should include completed trades for the whole period you want to journal.
Import into Forexizer
- Open Accounts → Add account, choose MetaTrader 4, and enter the account's base currency and starting balance. For an existing account, use its menu and select Import CSV.
- Upload the detailed HTML statement. The Import CSV control also accepts supported MetaTrader HTML reports.
- Confirm the timezone used by your broker's trade timestamps. Compare one known trade with the preview.
- Review the valid, duplicate, and invalid row counts, date range, commission, swap, and net P&L.
- Confirm the import only when the preview matches your FXCM account history.
File imports need no account password. Never include passwords or API keys in a support request.
Check the result
Compare the closed-trade count, first and last close dates, commission, swap, and net P&L with MT4. Open positions are skipped. Deposits and withdrawals are cash movements, not trading profits.
Keep the original report until the totals match. If something differs, check the account, export range, timezone, skipped rows, and duplicates before importing again. See Report an import problem or Undo a CSV import.
Live sync
Live sync for MetaTrader 4 is coming soon. Use the file workflow above until it is available.
