Accounts & imports

Accounts and imports

Each live account has its own currency, balance, risk profile, and trade history. Backtesting sessions are separate and never appear as live accounts.

Add an account

Open Accounts and select Add account. Enter the account name, account type, base currency, starting balance, and default risk percentage.

After creating the account, either finish and add trades manually or continue with a CSV import.

Account type and status

Forexizer supports personal, prop, demo, and investor accounts. An account can be active, paused, or archived. These labels do not delete its trades.

Accounts marked as testing are excluded from overall statistics. Use this when an account should remain available but should not affect combined performance.

Adjust a balance

Open the account menu and select Adjust balance. Choose deposit or withdrawal, enter the amount and date, then add an optional note.

Use a balance adjustment for cash movement. Do not enter a withdrawal as a losing trade. Forexizer excludes deposits and withdrawals from trading drawdown.

Import a broker CSV

Forexizer reads exports from MetaTrader 4/5, MatchTrader, TradingView, IG, NinjaTrader, Tradovate, TopstepX, Rithmic, Quantower, and 13 other platforms. See Supported brokers and platforms for what to export from each, and Import from MatchTrader for the full MatchTrader workflow.

Before importing:

  • export closed-trade history from the broker or platform
  • confirm the account timezone and base currency
  • keep the original file until totals match

Open the account menu, select Import CSV, and choose the file. Review the preview before confirming. If Forexizer cannot identify columns, map each source column to the matching trade field.

Check the imported count, date range, net P&L, commissions, swaps, and account balance afterward.

If an import fails or the balance does not match, see Report a CSV import problem to review skipped rows and send the original export for help. To remove trades added by an import, see Undo a CSV import.

Forexizer normalizes recognized broker profit columns before import. Broker headings are not consistent. For example, MatchTrader’s Net profit excludes commission and swap, while its Profit includes both. See Import from MatchTrader for the complete mapping.

Commission and swap values keep the sign supplied by the broker. A negative cost reduces net P&L. A positive swap credit increases it.

Import a Tradezella export

Open Settings, find Import trades, and upload a Tradezella CSV. The preview shows trades ready to import, accounts that will be created, skipped rows, and blocking errors. Confirm only after those counts look right.

Risk data

A CSV cannot restore fields the source never exported. Forexizer treats R as measured only when the file supplies trustworthy original risk, an original stop loss, or a fixed session risk. A final trailed stop is not original risk.

When original risk is missing, Forexizer may show an estimate based on the account default. Estimated and measured values are labeled differently.

Edit or delete an account

Use the account menu to edit its name, broker label, type, status, risk, or statistics inclusion. Deleting an account is destructive and also affects its trades. Export or verify anything you need before confirming.
