Import IG trades into Forexizer
Forexizer imports completed trades from an exported file. Live account sync is not available yet.
1. Export closed trades
In IG's web platform, open History → Transaction history and export CSV. On an IG MT4 or MT5 account, export from MetaTrader instead:
MetaTrader 5
In the desktop app, open Toolbox → History. Set the date range, then right-click and choose Report → HTML to save a history report. Forexizer cannot read the Excel (Open XML) option. Export the account’s complete closed-trade history for the period you want to journal.
MetaTrader 4
In the desktop app, open Terminal → Account History. Set the date range, then right-click and choose Save as Detailed Report for an HTML statement.
2. Import and check the preview
- In Forexizer, open Accounts → Add account and choose the same trading platform, or select Import CSV from an existing account.
- Upload the exported file. Check account, trade count, date range, timezone, commission, swap, and net P&L in the preview.
- Import when those totals match your trading platform. Keep the original export until you have checked the result.
Good to know: IG MT4 folds older trades into size-0 archive rows. They are skipped with a reason, so the balance differs from IG's by their P&L.
If the file is not recognized, use the column mapper or contact support with the export format. Do not upload account passwords or API keys.
